So, how does this work?
For e-books:
While you’re buying directly from me, the author, versus a retailer, (e.g., Amazon), your e-books are provided through Book Funnel. While the process isn’t as simple as Amazon’s buy-in-one-click process (just yet), it’s still a relatively easy.
Here is a general description of the process:
- Normally within 20 minutes of completing your purchase, you should receive an email from Book Funnel with the subject title “Your book(s) are here!” containing a link to download your books. (Be sure to check your spam folder to make sure Book Funnel’s email didn’t land there.)
That email you receive from Book Funnel will look something like this:
Special Note: Book Funnel gives you so many days to download your books, so be sure to download them
before the link expires!
As you can see from the sample email above, there are several options to retrieve your eBook based on your preferences:
- Open in the Book Funnel application. (You can click the link in the email to get this application)
- Read it on a Book Funnel account via the link and code given
- Or do what I do, send it to your favorite e-book reader.
When you click on the Book Funnel Link, you’ll be sent to Book Funnel’s website, where it will look something like this. Please note: this screenshot was taken 2 weeks after the order, so you can see I still have four hours left to download this title.
When you select the Get My Book button, you’ll receive this popup asking you to select your preferred e-reader.
And when you select your preferred e-reader, then you’ll be given instructions. I selected Kindle, and this is the screen that picked up. Please note: If you’re having some difficulties, then simply click on Having Trouble? link as shown in the pop up.
Note to Kindle Users: After you've downloaded your e-book, you may not see the cover displayed in your Kindle library until you open the book for the first time; instead, you may see something that looks like an MS Word document. This is an issue known as "side loading"--and it should get cleared up after you've uploaded and then opened the book for the first time. In my experience, my primary Kindle device (cell phone) made this transition pretty quickly, and I see the cover in the Kindle library; my secondary device (PC), however, while it shows the cover once you click on the book, still shows the MS Word doc-like file. I apologize for the inconvenience.
For print books:
While I intend to offer print books relatively soon from this Shopify site, print books are not yet available here.
However, you can still order all the Ryland Creek Saga in print books in soft cover, casebound (hard cover) and/or dust jacket.
On Amazon: You can search Amazon in your neck of the woods. For U.S. buyers via Amazon.com: Ryland Creek on Amazon.
For those readers in the continental U.S. wishing to purchase directly from me, you can visit my other author website at: Ryland Creek on Weebly.
